Who am I and what is my journey?

For the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of reading tarot for others, and for the last six years, this passion has blossomed into my professional life at Beyond Tarot. However, the truth is, the seeds of this path were sown much earlier. In that unlikely setting of adolescence, I experienced a profound and undeniably reality-shifting moment – a bit comical in retrospect, I admit! It was in that mundane space that I became acutely aware of a more direct connection to realms and entities, to the spiritual currents that often flow unseen by most.
For a significant portion of my young adult life, I actively pushed away this innate knowing. Terrified and unsure of how to navigate such an unusual awareness, I chose instead to numb myself, to deny the insistent whisper of my soul's calling. This manifested in various ways, a conscious decision to dim my inner light and reside in a self-imposed state of oblivion. Looking back, it’s clear the universe had other plans, sending numerous, sometimes not-so-subtle, wake-up calls. Yet, I stubbornly remained in my chosen state of unconsciousness, perfectly content in my denial, until the arrival of my children shifted my perspective.
Then, seventeen years ago, my life took another dramatic turn when I met my twin flame. For clarity, he is not the father of my first two children. What followed was a connection unlike any other, a relationship that defied conventional understanding. It has been nothing short of the most torturous, pain-filled, overwhelmingly challenging, and emotionally tumultuous experience I could have ever imagined – a true Los Angeles saga in its intensity and drama. So profound were the difficulties that I came to firmly believe that twin flames were never meant to find harmonious union in any lifetime, least of all this one.

For thirteen years, my twin and I navigated a landscape of indescribable spiritual miracles and profound moments of light, interwoven with the deeply entrenched wounds of unhealed masculine and feminine energies within us both. In what seemed like an inevitable escalation, we found ourselves in a state of war. My very reality, my grasp on truth and identity, everything I knew to be real and expected, simply vanished. It wasn't a grand illumination offering instant relief, but a tiny sliver, just enough to remind my weary soul of what it had lost: hope. My true "awakening" to consciousness had begun, and since that moment, I have never looked back. Today, people who witnessed the tumultuous journey my partner and I have navigated often ask how it is possible for us to not only stand each other but to be closer and more deeply connected than ever before in our sixteen years together.
